Swimming Pool Chlorine Tablets These Three Chemicals Are Required

At some point, every pool owner will have to deal with chemicals. There are a few things to keep in mind when working with chlorine tablets in the swimming pool. You should never attempt to mix chemicals together, no matter how many you have. Also, adding water to dry chemicals in any form is never a good idea. Last but not least, you should never try to handle chemicals with your hands. You should never do this.

There are three chemicals that you must have for your pool at all times during your ownership. Because you'll be using these chemicals frequently, they're crucial.

1. Tablets of chlorine

Chlorine tablets are available in two sizes: 1 inch and 3 inches. Chlorine tablets are placed in your skimmer three to four at a time. When you're running your pool on a daily basis during the summer, you'll need to replace your tablets every week or so. You'll need around 8 tablets per week if you're going to use two skimmers. Chlorine tablets are sold in buckets containing 30 to 50 tablets. They can be costly, costing around $80.00 per bucket, so you'll need a lot of cash to invest in your pool this summer.

2. powdered alkali

While chlorine in your pool will help to kill germs, it will also raise the acid level in your pool. Parts that contain metal will corrode if you don't use enough alkaline, turning your water a misty green color. On the other hand, if you use too much alkaline powder, the water will become cloudy, which will increase the number of germs in the water, which can cause serious health problems. Always use brand-name alkaline powders in the amount recommended by the package to get the right amount of alkaline powder in your pool water.

3. powdered chlorine

Chlorine powder is necessary for killing germs like algae and bacteria that thrive in your pool and multiply quickly. You'll need to use a lot of chlorine powder in your water to get rid of these germs. You may need more powder than others, depending on the size of your pool. Chlorine powder can be costly, so make sure you know how much you'll need before you go out and buy it. This is a must-have chemical because it's impossible to keep your pool germ-free without it. If you've already purchased it or plan to purchase a large quantity, don't be concerned; you'll always have a need for it, which means you'll never be able to purchase enough chlorine powder.
