For instance, I spoke to one owner who had flown in from Australia, just to show off his beautifully restored 1969 Camaro. Another owner had driven from Belgium, with his stunning 1970 Challenger, which he had lovingly restored himself. It's stories like these that really bring home the global appeal of American muscle cars, and the sense of community that exists among enthusiasts.

American muscle cars may have started out as a quintessentially American phenomenon, but they've evolved into a global phenomenon, with a dedicated following in many parts of the world.
